Wireless emergency alerts sent to your cell phone

CTIA-The Wireless Association and the wireless industry have joined the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Emergency Management Agency to create a wireless emergency alert system. So far, the carriers set to participate include AT&T, Cellcom, Cricket, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless.
